Anika Noni is an American actor and singer. Most famously, she is the vocalist of Tiana in The Princess and the Frog as the first African American Disney princess. Disney Legends featured her as one in 2011. Rose was an Oscar-winning actor who was Lorrell In Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born on June 6 on the 6th of September, 1971. She is an American actress and singer. She was best known for her role as Tiana the Princess from Disney. She is the first African American Princess to appear in The Princess and the Frog (2009). The film was designated a Disney Legend in 2011. The actress is also famous for her role in the lead role of Lorrell Robinson in the Academy Award-winning movie Dreamgirls (2006) and for playing her character LaVerne JUKEBOX Ganner on The Starz show Power. Alongside her acting, she is known for the roles she performed in theater. This includes Emmie Thibodeaux, who played the Broadway version of Caroline or Change (2005) for which the Tony Award Best Features Actress in a Musical was presented and Beneatha as part of the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2017) where the Tony Award Best Features Actress in Play nominations were announced.
