Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won many awards and grants. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the globe on policy and research concerning children who are victims of the justice system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
